SCCF Wines in the Wild Announces Lead Sponsors
The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) is pleased to announce that Bank of the Islands is returning as the Presenting Sponsor for Wines in the Wild on Friday, November 9.
“Bank of the Islands is such a tremendous corporate citizen for SCCF as well as the entire island non-profit community,” said SCCF CEO Erick Lindblad. “The renewal of their support for this annual fundraising event will ensure a fun and successful evening for our organization.”
The 2018 Wines in the Wild also benefits from the support of Diamond Sponsors Lucy and Paul Roth.
“We are so grateful for the generosity and hard work of our fellow event co-chairs and this year’s Diamond Sponsors Lucy and Paul Roth,” said founders Tom and Linda Uhler. “This year’s Wines in the Wild is going to be very special thanks to their support.”
So what’s new for this year? A great deal according to the Roths:
“We’ll have six stations set up on the Homestead grounds. Each will feature a savory dish from one of Sanibel’s finest kitchens. Our returning Kitchen Partners include Catering by Leslie Adams, Il Cielo, and Sweet Melissa’s Cafe. They will be joined this year by three new Kitchen Partners – Cip’s Place, The Sanibel Catering Company, and Malia, one of Sanibel’s newest restaurants. The foods will be paired at each station with specially selected complementary wines. It will be a great opportunity to explore the grounds and unique features of the Homestead while sampling wines donated by Bailey’s General Store, our returning Wine Sponsor. We’ll end the evening with a dessert surprise in the Homestead Pavilion, upbeat music from the Danny Morgan Trio, and a live auction of very special experiences. There will also be valet parking sponsored by Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, and a thank you gift underwritten by Island Taxi.”
Guests in “Island Festive” attire will gather from 6:30-9pm at the beautifully lit Bailey Homestead Preserve. Attendance cost is $125 per person. Because this event is likely to sell out in advance, tickets will not be available at the door. The event address is 1300 Periwinkle Way on Sanibel.
SCCF is dedicated to the conservation of coastal habitats and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed through environmental education, land acquisition, landscaping for wildlife, marine research, natural resource policy, sea turtle conservation and wildlife habitat management. Community support through membership dues and tax-deductible contributions, in addition to grants and staff-generated revenue, makes this work possible.
