Wines in the Wild A Great Success!
For the 12th year in a row, Bank of the Islands served as the Presenting Sponsor for SCCF’s Wines in the Wild on the evening of Friday, November 15.
“This fundraiser would not be a success without Bank of the Islands’ support,” said event founder and auctioneer Tom Uhler. “The bank’s presenting sponsorship significantly adds to the event’s bottom line and its great community spirit.”
Guests gathered on the grounds of SCCF’s Bailey Homestead Preserve on Sanibel. It has become the premier event to kick of the start of the island’s busy “season”. Guests enjoyed sampling fine wines and food from Sanibel restaurants and caterers, then joined in a rousing live auction of unique experiences.
SCCF is dedicated to the conservation of coastal habitats and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed through environmental education, land acquisition, landscaping for wildlife, marine research, natural resource policy, sea turtle conservation and wildlife habitat management. Community support through membership dues and tax-deductible contributions, in addition to grants and staff-generated revenue, makes this work possible.
