Bank of the Islands makes Thanksgiving Donation to F.I.S.H.

In the days before the holiday, Bank customers and Sanibel-Captiva neighbors were encouraged to stop by the Bank’s Sanibel lobby with canned food and dry goods for island neighbors in need. In recognition of their food pantry donations, the first 25 donors to the F.I.S.H. food basket were honored with a $100 Bank donation made in their names.

Maria Espinoza and Manuela Martinez accepted the Bank’s $2,500.00 donation from bankers Richard Shera, Greg Blurton, and David Lowden.

“This was such a fun way to support the social service work F.I.S.H. provides and thank those who help keep its food pantry full, during the holidays and throughout the year,” said Roepstorff. “It has meant so much over many years to have a F.I.S.H. donation basket in our lobby.”

Bank customers and other islanders dropping off their donations to the F.I.S.H. food pantry also shared in light refreshments and neighborly conversation in the Bank of the Islands lobby.
