Bank Sponsors Christmas Outreach in Harlem Heights
Participating as a Santa’s Helper Sponsor for this year’s Christmas Outreach at The Heights Foundation, Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands is hoping others will join by donating toys, new with tags clothing, and gift cards for children from infancy through their teen years. The deadline for donations is December 14, and unwrapped items can be dropped off at the Heights Center at 15570 Hagie Drive in Fort Myers from 9-5 on weekdays.
Once the donations are collected, Christmas Outreach will take place on December 16. Parents in the Harlem Heights community will be able to choose gifts for their children while keeping them a secret until Christmas Day. This year’s Christmas Outreach is also part of the yearlong celebration of the Heights Foundation’s 25th anniversary.
“Close to 900 children – from newborn babies to teenagers – can benefit from your donations to the Christmas Outreach program,” said Bank President Robbie Roepstorff. “This latest Heights Foundation sponsorship opportunity affords us the ability to provide invaluable resources for Harlem Heights families during the holidays. These are challenging times for many of our neighbors in need, and we are honored to help Santa make their Christmas celebrations a happy time for parents and children alike.”
The Heights Foundation works to build strong, self-sufficient families in the Harlem Heights neighborhood. Their mission supports education and wellness, promotes family and community development, and provides the benefits of enrichment and the arts.
