Bank of the Islands collecting for FISH Thanksgiving Food Drive

Bank of the Islands is once again stepping up to ensure all islanders have what they need for their Thanksgiving dinners this year. Besides Bank of the Islands’ own contributions to the holiday food drive and $500 donation, its bankers are also accepting donations from customers and neighbors through the collection box in the Bank’s lobby.

“As many islanders already know, we are a year-round collection partner for the FISH Food Pantry,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “As the holiday season nears, it becomes even more meaningful and important to do what we can to help our neighbors in need. Please join us in this Thanksgiving tradition by bringing non-perishable contributions to Bank of the Islands. Stocking the FISH Food Pantry with holiday essentials is such an important way to be of service and show how much we appreciate being your island bank.”

All islanders are invited to visit the Bank’s Sanibel office with boxes, jars, and cans of cranberry sauce, green beans, pumpkin pie filling, condensed milk, jams and jellies, corn, stuffing, bread and corn bread mixes, and apple cider. FISH has requested that all Thanksgiving-specific food donations be delivered to Bank of the Islands not later than November 14. As always, other food donations will also be gratefully accepted throughout the year.
