Roepstorff was first appointed as an FGCU Trustee in 2010 and was elected to serve as its Chair in 2012.

“It is an honor to be appointed by the Governor and to be returning to the Board of Trustees,” said Roepstorff. “FGCU continues to play an irreplaceable role in providing academic offerings, workforce development, and a better quality of life for Southwest Florida. It is widely regarded as an institution defined by high quality and accessible educational opportunities for its students. I am sincerely grateful to Governor DeSantis for giving me this opportunity to continue serving FGCU’s students, faculty and administration.”

The statement from the Governor’s Office also highlighted Roepstorff’s work with the Lee County Industrial Development Authority, the Horizon Council and Foundation, the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, and the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.
