Bank of the Islands Celebrates the Fourth!

Our bankers and their families proudly marched down Periwinkle Way in the 30th Annual Sanibel & Captiva Islands Independence Day Parade on July 4, 2022.

“After the parade was canceled for the last two years during the pandemic, we were thrilled to once again create a float and show our patriotic pride,” said the bank’s Sanibel Asst. Office Manager Susan Schulte. “This community tradition is such a great way to say how much we love being your island bank!”

Led by a human-sized American Bald Eagle and bearing the parade’s “Red, Wild and Blue” theme, our float joined 41 others, all reveling with the cheering crowds of spectators.

“As we have done for more than 20 years, we were so happy to once again be a co-sponsor of this great island event,” said Schulte. “Our crew is already planning for next year.”
